CHantel Hampton

Founder/CEO (ChantelHamptonMusic, Inc)

For Chantel Hampton the journey began as the youngest member of
a 50-voice youth choir in the inner city of Boston, founded by her late father minister, and producer, LeRoix Hampton III. At the age of 14 she began to function as a Worship Leader at her local assembly, where she served faithfully every week. Chantel later received full-tuition scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music from where she graduated with a B.A in Music Business & Management. Between her genius with the pen and her flair behind the mic, Chantel found herself writing and recording for Bishop T.D Jakes’ label, Dexterity Sound and Universal Music. Ms. Hampton was also privileged to share the stage musically and educationally with: Sheila E, Anita Baker, Rodney Jerkins, Philip Bailey (Earth Wind & Fire) and The Yellow Jackets etc.

Throughout her college career a deep passion grew in Chantel for empowering her generation as well as the next. In a pursuit to answer this passion, she began to speak, teach and lead worship for various youth conferences and organizations including The DeVos Urban Leadership Conference, Jeanne Mayo’s National Youth Conference & Bishop Hezekiah Walker's Annual Youth Convention. She had the opportunity to write music for, direct and lead worship with a 300-voice youth choir for Ron Luce & Teen Mania’s Battle Cry conferences, reaching over 40,000 youth.

In 2009, Chantel founded Chantel Hampton Music, Inc and began offering freelance vocal performances and recording. Later that year, she released her debut album "Contagious", and was the two-time winner of the VH1 songwriting competition for the title song. Chantel wrote, produced and charted on Billboard for Producer Rahni Song's "Breakin' The Rules" album and her single "Star of the Story" was the 3rd most requested song on Adult Contemporary Radio.

In 2013, Chantel was brought on as an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music where she has trained over 2,000 aspiring musicians in show development, music business, songwriting and professional skills. She has traveled the world leading teams of faculty while lecturing and training students and faculty.  Most recently, she has done presentations for the CJ Foundation (Samsung) of Seoul, Korea and The Apollo Theatre Education of Harlem, NY.
